Wedding Testimonial
Lara, wedding morning at Kilshane House, Tipperary September 2024:
"Thank you so much for everything! It was such a lovely, calm morning which was exactly what I wanted. The girls loved their bracelets and showed them off to everyone. It was so nice to be able to gift them an experience and a memory rather than something to be tucked away in a box.
You were so lovely and professional to deal with from the outset. Life is about the people you choose to surround yourself with and you fit in perfectly. I’m so happy to have taken a chance on something different. We will be talking about it for years to come. "
FAQs
1. Is it safe? How long does the welding take?
It is completely painless and harmless. A protective leather patch is placed between you and the chain at the time of welding. The weld happens in an instant tiny 'spark', so between measuring chain and choosing your comfortable length the process takes about 10 minutes per person.
2. Do they last over time? In the shower, in the sea, in chlorine? How about with fake tan?
The metals we use do not tarnish or oxidize and are hypoallergenic. With proper care they can last as long as you wish. They chains can be easily cleaned if they become 'faded' due to every-day wear. The jewellery is fine going through airport security also.
As an example, I have my longest one 3 years and I surf, use the gym, fake tan and have been in chlorine - moral of the story, they are very durable :) The only thing you may need to remove it for is an MRI.
3. What materials do you use?
The materials we use is Sterling Silver and Gold Filled. They do not contain nickel.
Gold-Filled is not gold plated - big difference, this is how I explain it: Gold-filled has a gold content 50 to 100 times higher than those plated with gold. This means that the coating will be much thicker and more durable than a classic gold plating. This actually makes it stronger and more durable than solid gold as solid gold can be quite soft and therefore fragile. Gold-filled unlike gold-plated or gold-plated will resist minor scratches better.
Gold Filled is hypoallergenic, (if you are not allergic to gold), and this is due to its very thick gold layer, which makes it an ideal choice for people allergic to metal or gold plated.
Gold-filled is also resistant to oxidation unlike plated gold.
Because of its gold content, Gold Filled is waterproof, and will not flake off over time.
4. What is the cost of gold-filled and sterling silver?
Prices range between €70 and €100 for a bracelet depending on metal and style chosen, optional charms can also be added. I have wedding package which offers a set price of €90 per person to simplify different chosen. Other packages are also offered, For weddings, a fee of €100 is applied.
5. Do you offer solid gold?
I do offer solid gold. please get in touch a few months prior to your big day. This gives you the freedom of choosing exactly which gold chain suits your style.
6. What is the cost of solid gold?
This depends on the market price of gold at the time and depends on location it is sourced from. I always source from trusted suppliers in the USA or Italy. Prices for solid gold can range from €190-€250 per bracelet.
